Tech Evolution: Celebrating Growth and Quality Boost!

Can you believe it's been two whole years since we embarked on this incredible journey?

Back in lockdown, Laura from Key Communication was filming videos for Teach Me Too at home, simply using toys and laminated visual aids. In this photo Lucy is about to put a wooden car down a wooden track with 4 layers. To her right, a laminated visual timetable is propped up against a board, showing four stages - ‘Vehicles’, ‘Monster’, ‘Surprise Box’, ‘Finish’ - used to show the timeline of the video.

Let's rewind the clock to 2021 and Learn and Thrive’s inception. Back then, 21 Together had proudly released 53 videos in Teach Me Too, and oh boy, have we come a long way since! Teach Me Too was moved out of 21 Together so that we could develop our work further. Fast forward to today, and we're thrilled to announce that we've unleashed a whopping nine series, across two projects, featuring a grand total of 109 videos. Talk about growth!

Our latest gem, 'Being Healthy' from the Learning for Life project, is a testament to the strides we've made. The graphics in this release are on a whole new level compared to our Teach Me Too days. Remember those early videos where the incredible teams at Inclusively Down and Key Communication worked their magic with boards and printed texts? Well, we've upgraded, my friends! Our newer videos boast top-notch technological developments that add an extra layer of awesomeness.

Now, we get it – those early videos are still gold, especially for the little ones in their formative years. But hey, we're all about progress, and the tech enhancements in our recent releases are something to cheer about.

But wait, there's more! Let's talk about the benefits. The newer stuff isn't just flashy; it brings a whole set of advantages to the table. Supporting the visual learning strengths of our community and helping those with visual difficulties too. Making the videos even more accessible to all.

Jo from Symbol UK features in some of our newer videos. They use more digital visual aids. Here, Jo is pointing at the sentence ‘I like making chocolate cake’, where the cake is a symbol. This sentence is a digital visual aid.

As we continue to cook up new series (because good things take time, right?), we're committed to pushing the boundaries of technology in our resources. We're not mind-readers, though, so we want to hear from you! Your feedback is our secret sauce, and if you've got suggestions, please let us know using the links below. Whether it's on our ongoing projects or those current videos you can't get enough of, we're all ears!

So there you have it – a toast to two years of growth, quality, and a whole lot of tech magic. We couldn't have done it without your support, and for that, we're eternally grateful. Here's to the journey ahead, filled with even more tech wizardry and fantastic content. Cheers to you, cheers to us, and cheers to the future! 🎉✨

Thanks to the unwavering support from amazing backers like QCS, Kent Community Foundation, and many more, we can continue creating fantastic content for free for our users.
