Specialist content, made for educators
Making learning easy.
Learning for Life provides specialist Relationships, Sex, and Health Education (RSHE) teaching for young people with Down’s syndrome and learning disabilities, empowering them to thrive as they head into adulthood.
Now you can add Learning for Life to your kit of resources to support your learners.
We are a charity - your subscriptions help us to reach families and community groups in desperate need of support.
Why Learning for Life?
There are a bunch of different reasons…
Additional Support: goes further than the curriculum to support our community’s specific needs and challenges
Made by Experts: we bring together SEND and topic experts, to create specialist content- not just adapted mainstream content
Curriculum-Ready: updated and refined for the 2026 RSE curriculum updates
Saves Time: our users save up to 20 hours per term
Cost Effective: full staff access, unlimited use
Our resources create real life change for learners and educators alike. Accessing it across your staff helps with consistency of teaching, and increases confidence for teachers.
But don’t take our word for it. The staff at Newfriars College in Stoke-on-Trent have been using the Learning for Life project in their Independent Living Pathway, and are seeing some great results.
We are used in schools across the UK, from Bangor to West Lothian to Exeter. We are used in specialist and mainstream settings. We are used all the way from primary to college. Supporting individuals with learning disabilities is our core mission, and educators have a critical part to play.
We’ve made all of these to ensure that teachers and youth workers can spend as much time as possible directly supporting students, rather than planning and preparing their sessions.
Plus, you can share the project with parent/carers, who have their own specialised versions of these resources to help them support students at home. They can access these for free with their own parent codes, helping to keep teaching consistent and clear.

*The Teach Me Too project is designed very differently to Learning for Life. It was built during the pandemic to support families who no longer had in-person support for their young children. It is not aligned with the RSE curriculum and doesn’t have the specialist educator support provided in Learning for Life. While we offer Teach Me Too subscriptions, settings are advised to watch the free videos available, so that you can consider how a subscription may work alongside in-person support for early years learners.

Learn and Thrive is a charity.
Income from schools and statutory bodies directly funds the creation of free and subsidised resources for families who cannot afford specialist support, and helps us to produce and provide new content to continue through the curriculum. When schools like yours invest in Learning for Life, they’re not just buying resources — they’re strengthening inclusive education across the UK.
