Keeping Learning for Life Free for Families Who Need It

If you’ve been using the Learning for Life project recently, you may have noticed some changes.

Introducing charges for parts of our content was a very difficult decision for us as a team. Like many charities, we’re facing a much tougher funding landscape, and we need to find sustainable ways to keep our work going. These changes are about protecting the future of Learning for Life and ensuring we can continue supporting children, young people, and families.

That said, we know the new system isn’t perfect. We’re listening carefully to feedback and making adjustments as we go.

What this means for parents

Parents can now access everything in Learning for Life — videos, resources and downloads — using a discount code linked to a one-off payment made when signing up.

This small contribution helps us cover the costs of running the project. The discount code then reduces the cost of every digital resource to £0, so you have full access without ongoing charges.

And it’s really important to say this clearly:
If you’re not able to afford the one-off payment, our team can support you to get access anyway. We are absolutely committed to keeping our work accessible and 100% free for families who cannot afford to pay. Education should never be out of reach.

Want to know more?

We’ve written a separate blog that explains all of the changes in detail, including how the new set-up works for parents, teachers and other professionals. It’s there to help you understand exactly what’s changed and how it affects you.

Thank you for being part of Learning for Life, and for supporting us as we work to keep this project going for the families who need it most.

Recent Learning for Life Content

The whole team smiling on film day! Lee, Matt, Laura, Hannah, Jo, Nic, Maya, Jess, and Tabitha.

Wow - we’ve had some wonderful feedback on our most recent series, How To… Healthy Eating!

This series is a follow up from Being Healthy, looking at healthy eating - by teaching real recipes our young people would use at home. We’ve taken input directly from our community on what they love to eat, and made step-by-step how to video guides and recipes to make healthy versions of these!

Our guys also involved directly in filming! We are joined by some familiar faces - Maya, Jess, and Alfie - and a few new ones - Bethan, Tabitha, and Oscar. They’re all taking the reins and teaching their peers how to make these tasty recipes.
