Resources for Growing Up
For parents of young people with learning disabilities
Worried about unsafe behaviour?
Want to help your young person to be safe as they grow up?
Learning for Life is a project covering personal health, emotions, relationships, and appropriate behaviour. We use the curriculum as a scaffold, but go further and add what we know our community truly needs.
As a charity rooted in lived experience, we include the real-life skills that matter most.
We are parents of young people with learning disabilities. We know the sleepless nights you have worrying their daily lives. All this experience has been put into Learning for Life, so that we can ensure all young people grow up understanding:
appropriate behaviour
personal boundaries
independence skills
everyday decision-making
And it’s made specifically for your young person, across a range of additional needs and learning disabilities.
Our commitment
As a charity, we don’t want to exclude any of the young people we could be supporting. Regardless of income, postcode, or personal situation, they all deserve access to the projects we offer. We provide access to our resources completely free for families. Get a Parent Code for free or with a voluntary donation, and all of your resource downloads, across both projects, are free forever. Unlimited use, no subscription - genuinely free.

Every child and young person with learning disabilities deserves high-quality, accessible resources at home. Cost should never be the thing that gets in the way.
We also know times are incredibly tough for families. They’re tough for small charities too, and we want to keep creating new, practical, and important resources without putting pressure on the people who need them most.
So, we’ve redesigned how families can access everything.
You can get Learning for Life in our Parent Hub in a few easy steps:
Get your Parent Code, for free or with a voluntary donation

How it works for families
You can choose the option that suits your household:
Access everything for free if that’s what you need — no questions asked.
Make a small affordable regular donation to help us keep supporting the families and delivery partners who simply can’t afford to pay.
Or make a one-off donation for 12 months of unlimited access to all our digital downloads (worth well over £450).
When you sign up below, we’ll send you a unique discount code that means your basket will always say £0, no matter how many times you purchase a resource.
A quick note about SEND verification
We’ll ask you to email us a simple form of proof that a child or young person with SEND lives in your household (for example: an EHCP, diagnosis letter, SENCo letter, or PIP/DLA confirmation).
This isn’t about gatekeeping support — far from it.
It’s simply a way of keeping things fair and sustainable:
This access is for families who need it, and to ensure it used for this purpose we do ask your to simply prove you have a person with learning disabilities living in your home. We don’t keep this evidence; it is checked and deleted straight away.
Schools and colleges must use the education licence tailored for them.
This helps ensure we can keep offering free access to families who need it most.
There’s no judgement, no hoops, just a straightforward check to make sure each route works as intended.
Why this approach matters
Even small charges were stopping families from using the resources they rely on.
Some families want to contribute financially but need flexibility.
Donations and school licences are what make it possible for us to continue developing new, truly accessible resources.
Our Delivery Partner Scheme ensures charities and local groups can access everything at no cost, so communities benefit widely.
In short
If you can donate, thank you — it truly helps keep the charity going.
If you can’t, please still take everything you need.
Your child’s learning always comes first.
Don’t forget to tell the schools and colleges about us too!
To sign up simply choose the option below and go through our checkout, if you have chosen free there will be no charge, but you do still need to check out.
