Meet The Team

Maria is a Global Account Manager at Amazon Web Services (AWS), where she builds and nurtures strategic partnerships with some of the world’s largest technology services companies. She thrives on connecting people, ideas and technology to unlock new opportunities.

Before joining AWS, Maria spent many years at Cisco in a variety of sales and business development roles, with a passion for making technology relevant to the people who run businesses. Her final role was Head of Innovation for Cisco UK&I, where she brought together Government, industry, start-ups and academia to harness the power of technology and create innovation with real, scalable commercial impact.

Maria holds an MBA and a degree in Accountancy and Economics. She is a 2018 TechWomen100 winner and a 2020 Cisco Bridge Award winner (Global Community Impact award) for her work with the Trussell Trust.

Giving back has always been close to Maria’s heart. She joins Learn and Thrive as a Trustee because she believes passionately in using her skills and experience to help others reach their full potential — something she sees as both a privilege and a responsibility.

Outside of work, Maria is a mum of two, a keen reader, and happiest when surrounded by good company — whether that’s catching up with friends, staying active, or enjoying time with her family.
